Hi, I’m Sean — professional cricketer and performance psychologist
You've come to the right place & I am so glad that you are here!
I am a professional cricketer and performance psychology practitioner who helps individuals and teams develop the mental skills needed to perform under pressure.
Having spent many years competing in professional sport, I have experienced first-hand the psychological demands of high performance, including pressure, expectation, setbacks, and self-doubt. These experiences led me to explore the mental side of performance and how people can build the mindset required to thrive in demanding environments.
Alongside my playing career, I completed a Masters in Sport and Exercise Psychology at Staffordshire University. Through SD Sport Psychology Ltd, I now work with athletes, teams, coaches, schools, and organisations to develop confidence, resilience, and consistent performance.
My approach combines lived experience from elite sport with evidence-informed psychological principles to provide practical strategies that can be applied in real performance environments.
I continue to develop my professional practice through ongoing supervision as part of the BASES Sport and Exercise Psychology Accreditation Route (SEPAR).

“True greatness in sports is not defined solely by physical ability or skill, but by the resilience of the mind to face adversity, the courage to overcome self-doubt, and the discipline to stay focused under pressure. It's about mastering your thoughts, channelling your energy, and turning every challenge into an opportunity for growth and excellence.”
How it all beganIT ALL STARTED WHEN I was diagnosed with generalized anxiety.
Over 12 years ago, a challenge I faced throughout my cricket career. Under intense pressure, I often suffered with memory black outs, thinking it was normal, until a performance psychologist helped me understand and manage my anxiety. This transformative experience fuelled my passion for psychology and mental well-being.
With a Masters in Sport and Exercise Psychology, I’m now training to become a performance psychologist, combining my personal journey and professional knowledge to help individuals unlock their potential.
